Each month, I’m astounded by the numbers of Owls who opine and share their expertise in the media. Among the many other Temple alumni success stories covered on the web, on television and in print this month, Kunal Nayyar, SCT ’06, and Eric Miller, SCT ’93, made the news.
Nayyar, one of the stars of the CBS series The Big Bang Theory, advised fellow actors in longtime acting trade publication Backstage. Miller, editor and publisher of the print music magazine Magnet, discussed the magazine’s recent relaunch on Philly.com.
And the coverage doesn’t end there: Nayyar also will be featured in the spring issue of Temple Review.

Talk about keeping up with the boys: Fatima Maddox, SCT ’07, recently

became the first female Harlem Globetrotter since 1993. And though the 2012 Harlem Globetrotters also sports the world’s tallest pro basketball player (Paul Sturgess), Maddox’s Temple record indicates that she’ll be able to hold her own. As a senior, she averaged 11.4 points per game.
